A number of times people will post here enquiring about an item as a result on looking in the Task Manager, Task List or Close Program box - all as a result of CTRL+ALT+DEL. This details some of the running tasks (startup, service, background as a result of another program, etc) and not just STARTUPS.

The site and this part of the forum is only dedicated to startup tasks that can be easily and directly identified as running from the normal startup locations (ie, MSCONFIG for Win98/Me/XP and the registry "Run" keys for WinNT/2K).

Please therefore use these methods to identify items before posting. Otherwise a post asking about "whatever.exe" will just be deleted. It will make my life a lot easier trying to work through and find the real posts.
