I just noticed that my licensed copy of WinPatrol Plus does not give "plus" information anymore! No matter what program I highlight and ask for "plus info," it goes nowhere! It used to work just fine! I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

OK, never mind! I just spotted the answer in another post! In the Options tab, I removed the checkmark I had placed in the "Allow Plus Info Data Collection," and that did, indeed, solve the problem. I can now access the PLUS information.

Although "Allow Plus Info Data Collection" is not supported by all systems, by default this option is off and is completely voluntary. Apparently there is something in your system that falls within the "not supported category".

For general information:

The purpose of this feature is to increase the precision of the PLUS database. When this option is checked and an inquiry is made to the WinPatrol database, information about the file requested includes path, company name, version, file date, file size and date detected. The only identifying information provided is Plus code and country of origin.
