|
|
I am finding that Mailwasher 4.1, which is always running minimized, sets it alarm when it has found a new e-mail correctly but by the side of it the 'envelope' for a new mail received by Outlook is lit - sure enough the e-mail has been downloaded into my local Outlook inbox!. I turn Outlook off after every use but when the next mail is found by Mailwasher outlook is once again active and has downloaded the e-mail. Have I got something mis-set or is this a 'feature' of 4.1? I am running XP Pro on a broadband link

Outlook is automatically downloading the msgs. Turn off Outlook msg polling.
Need I repeat that if MWP had a proxy mode, Solong wouldn't be having this problem?

You have MW set to automatically launch your email program. To turn that feature off navigate Tools>Options>General then remove the checkmark at "Launch email application after processing".
If you leave Outlook running, it will download email automatically before you get a chance to work on it with MW. To turn auto fetch off in Outlook, read the instructions a this link: http://www.computercops.biz/postt3583.html
