I have two Ilfak Guilfanov WMF patches downloaded but not installed: One is: wmffix_hexblog14.exe -285 kb Second is: WMFHotfix-1.4.msi - 86 kb Which is the correct Ilfak Guilfanov WMF patch? Thanks

Hi Bob, The first file is Ilfak's patch - see here The second file is the MS temporary fix (msi = MS Installer) - see here . (I would guess the smaller filesize means the actual fix is downloaded by the installer whereas Ilfak's fix is an all-in-one package). You can get the official patch from one of the links on this page . _________________ Never stop learning

Thanks for the reply...but, the link for the Microsoft patch, WMFHotfix-1.4.msi, describes the patch from Ilfak Guilfanov:

That is correct. The MS installer calls for Ilfak's fix - as I recall this was an intermediate step taken by MS before the official hotfix was rolled out. If you have got all Windows updates then you don't need either file - it was recommended that Ilfak's fix be uninstalled when installing the MS fix. _________________ Never stop learning
