Filter set consists of the following:
JD's Advanced Alpha 14 Oct 04 (modified)
Kye-U's Security Pack 4.32 (customised with popup alerts disabled)
zlib.dll version 1.2.2
z12's Caching Filters (modified)
DOWNLOAD HERE (try first)
MIRROR (if needed)
(note: the 1k file is a GPG signature and is not necessary unless you wish to verify that it hasn't been tampered with)
Latest version changes are always listed at the end of this topic thread so you don't have to read all the previous pages!
Proxomitron 4.5j and this filterset work fine under all flavours of Windows including the new x64 version.
For an up to date SSL pack you can use Sidki's which is available here (thanks ProxFox).
Some things to note:
1. RECOMMENDED METHOD FOR FIRST INSTALL: Ideally you should uninstall Proxomitron, then delete the remaining folder, and start over. That way you'll have a clean, up to date install with no legacy conflicts.
2. RECOMMENDED METHOD FOR UPDATE INSTALL:If you are using my filterset already and haven't modified it in any way you can simply install it directly over an existing installation after shutting Proxomitron down.
3. I have included Kye-U's Security Pack which is enabled but with the alert system disabled by default. To enable the alerts go into the Header section of Proxomitron and tick the OUT box on the following filter and save the set:
| Code: | | ! Enable Kye-U Security Alerts (Out) [Kye-U & z12] |
4. This set is still largely JD's work (99%) and as such, he is the person to whom you should address most bugs, and he is also the person you should really be thanking for the awesome work in creating them in the first place. I've kept in my own name [Grypen] on those filters I've written myself or modded, so for those please let me know and I'll try to fix them.
As always, give feedback and if possible, post solutions where you find them. They will then be integrated into the next set and benefit everyone.
Files will have SHA-1 checksums for download integrity so you know you've got a good file. A great little context menu utility for verifying and creating MD5 and SHA-1 checksums called DigestIt2004 can be found here.
I've also added a GPG signature file alongside the main download for those who use GPG/PGP to verify files. You can get my GPG key here (search for key ID 0x53F79CF2) or download it via my sig. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

Done. It'll be in the next set, whenever that is, but until then you can just run with your own customisation. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

Grypen, followed your advice by deleting everything in my Proxo folder and starting over. Over the years, my Proxo folder became a garbage can for many things that were tried once and never used again. I had difficulty deciding what was needed and what should be trashed. The clean install was long overdue and well worth the time and effort.
Don't know who to credit for the Google results work, but it's awesome! Much easier to read and incredibly well organized.
Thanks again gentleman (JD, Kye-U, Grypen) for helping and supporting those of us that need it. It's greatly appreciated.

The Google work is JD's, as is 99% of the filters. My own are suffixed with [Grypen] to delineate them (and my modded ones based on JD's so I can keep track).
I wouldn't say I'm very skilled Kye-U, I'm mainly learning as I go from filters JD and yourself produce! My skill, if I have one, is in packaging and making sure the overall experience of use is as painless as possible. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

I have uploaded a new filter set based on JD's 07 Oct 04 Alpha with my usual customisations and a couple of updates.
I've also created a new installer for the secure site SSL certificates and DLL files, to keep the main filter set small but still allow people an easy way to install the SSL stuff if they wish. It's using the updated certs and files on Kye-U's site but is simply repackaged to match the main filter installer. It won't activate the SSL portion by itself so you need to open Proxomitron up and manually tick the box to enable SSLeay/OpenSSL, then save your config again and reload. You won't have to reinstall each time I update my main set, but you will have to tick the box each time as I haven't set them active by default.
The new Google filters are set to default Google look, with coloured banding and no thumbnails to assist those on dialup.
Enjoy! _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

Weird, I did a fresh install of my own filter set over a new install of Proxomitron and it works fine. May be worth doing the same to make sure it's a clean install, not a clean-ish install!
Just out of interest, which lists are missing? _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

URL Alias List.txt and Kill Images.txt
yeah i just opened the archive and they're not in your archive. see, my way of clean installing is to move all the lists. maybe i shouldn't be doing that.

Ah ok. You would have been fine with a fresh install of Proxomitron, because those files are not from JD, they are files that install with the Proxomitron application itself. You just deleted one too many files
As you've probably seen by now (my EXE files are WinRAR based so you can open them up as a normal archive if needed) I've trimmed the installer to only add those files that came with JD's set plus the one or two files that are regularly changed such as Bypass List and AllowCookies. Anything I haven't changed from the default install I left out (unlike previous sets of mine I did a fresh take on the whole set this time).
The answer is to reinstall Proxomitron, then apply my filter set and you'll be set.
Thanks for clarifying. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

Just a couple of site-specific new pr0n filters for someone on the forum, not an essential update by any means if you already have the 20041008 version. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.

I'll be away for the next week or so, so there won't be any updates in that time (not that they're essential given the current build's quality).
I'll try to check in but I won't be on broadband so if you're after a fix of some sort it'll have to wait a week. _________________ Get my current Proxomitron filters and Firefox CSS files here or here.
