I've been having this problem for quite some time. I use Nero to burn CDs/DVDs. Whenever i burn a CD, sometimes it would burn fine, while other times, it would freeze at "Lead-Out" and burning process would show 100%. I can't eject the CD unless i restart or shutdown my computer. Since CD wasn't burned completely, it wouldn't play all the songs either.

I ran Nero's InfoTool and noticed that "System ASPI" is corrupted and highlighted in red, when "Nero ASPI" is working properly and highlighed in green.

Here's the report from InfoTool:

Nero InfoTool 3.00

ASPI Information
----------------
System ASPI : ASPI installation is corrupted

WNASPI32.DLL : 4.71 (0002) 45056 bytes July 17, 2002
ASPI32.SYS : 4.71 (0002) built by: WinDDK 16512 bytes July 17, 2002
WINASPI.DLL : 4.60 (1021) 5600 bytes July 17, 2002
WOWPOST.EXE : 4.60 (1021) 4672 bytes July 17, 2002

Nero ASPI : ASPI is installed and working properly

WNASPI32.DLL : 2.0.1.74 164112 bytes October 26, 2004

Could System ASPI be the problem? Is there any other solution to the problem?

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition and updated version of Nero OEM (6.6.0.14).

Thanks for the support!

exactly!!

Ensure you do a "clean "uninstal by using ADD/REMOVE programs or the uninstaller. then visit Nero site and update ALL drivers.

Unfortunately, uninstalling and re-installing didn't help...ASPI info is same as earlier:

Nero InfoTool 3.00

ASPI Information
----------------
System ASPI : ASPI installation is corrupted

WNASPI32.DLL : 4.71 (0002) 45056 bytes July 17, 2002
ASPI32.SYS : 4.71 (0002) built by: WinDDK 16512 bytes July 17, 2002
WINASPI.DLL : 4.60 (1021) 5600 bytes July 17, 2002
WOWPOST.EXE : 4.60 (1021) 4672 bytes July 17, 2002

Nero ASPI : ASPI is installed and working properly

WNASPI32.DLL : 2.0.1.74 164112 bytes October 26, 2004

Echo75, what do you exactly mean by updating all drivers? I have the latest version of Nero OEM (6.6.0.14) running. Do ASPIs matter? Could anything else be the problem? Hope to receive a reply soon...

he means to go to http://www.nero.com/eng/Updates.html, find your version of nero, compare your nero version with the latest updates (as in your version might me 6.00.1, but the latest might be 6.00.3), if yours is below the latest, then download and follow the instructions for the update.
