Hello:

I've read of the option to disable the PCHSCHD.EXE from running at startup in Windows ME.

Is there a way I can have it run less frequently than every 10 minutes as it seems to by default in the Scheduled Tasks?

It seems that when I schedule it to run every 3 hours, it resets itself to run every 10 minutes after I reboot....

Since it isn't clear to me that this program is of no value, I'd rather have it run less frequently than at every 10 minutes--instead of disabling it entirely.

Any suggestions?

TIA:

You don't really need it as it disabling it doesn't affect PCHealth running (see the link in the entry).

If you do decide to leave it then unfortunately I don't know how to change the time it runs. It appears to run when the system is idle.

well..there are gr8 ways to avoid any unwanted program from running evrytime you start your pc. You can do it with either running msconfig and uncheking the particular program or by going to regedit and deleting anything unwanted under H_keyuser/microsoft/windows/current verion/run

All the best! Smile
