I have been using the free version of WinPatrol for about a year now, but today It did something it hasn't done before. Normally when Scotty notices something he doesn't like he will bark once and throw up a dialog box indication what he found. Yesterday Scotty twice barked like there was a cat in the yard, 5 barks and no dialog box. So, I know he was upset, but I don't know what at? Any thoughts? I do see some new activeX controls dated yesterday but I hadn't loaded IE at the time...

Hi, CybrGuy.

No doubt those ActiveX controls upset Scotty but I don't know why you didn't get a dialog box. Note, however, that ActiveX controls are not limited to IE. A couple of examples are Apple's Quicktime and Adobe's Shockware Flash.
